Bahá’u’lláh is the Messenger of God for this day. Bahá’u’lláh—the “Glory of God”—is the Promised One foretold by the Báb and all of the Divine Messengers of the past. He delivered a new Revelation from God to humanity.
Throughout history, God has revealed Himself to humanity through a series of divine Messengers including; Abraham, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Moses, Christ, and Muhammad.
The very last of these Messengers was Baha'u'llah, who brought new spiritual, and social teachings appropriate to this age. Thousands of verses, letters and books flowed from His pen. In His Writings, He outlined a framework for the development of a global civilization which takes into account both the spiritual and material dimensions of human life.
The Life of Bahá’u’lláh
Bahá'u'lláh was born in 1817 in Persia and grew up in an environment of ease, wealth and comfort. However, He preferred to spend most of his time caring for the poor and sick who affectionately referred to him as the "Father of the Poor."
In 1863, Bahá'u'lláh declared His mission as the new Messenger of God, the Promised One of all ages. For this He endured great sufferings at the hands of His oppressors. He spent 40 years as a prisoner and an exile. However, wherever he was forced to go, He earned the love and respect of everyone. Baha'u'llah died in 1892 in the prison city of Acre, in the Ottoman Empire that became Israel.
The Bahá'í Faith teaches that there is only one God, that all the religions of the world come from the same God and that they differ from each other due to the requirements of the age at which they were born.

Today, more than a century after Baha'u'llah's death, his call for world unity is taking shape in the global Baha'i community, providing proof that humanity, in all its diversity, can learn to live and work as one people in a global village.
Upon the death of His father, Baha'u'llah did not want either a prestigious or political position despite His connections in the spheres of power of the time. This aroused surprise and comments. He murmured to himself: “How is it that a young man of such keen intelligence and such subtle perception is not looking for a lucrative job? Every position is open to him. » This is a historic statement fully documented by the history of the Iranian people.
